XP Question....

My computer recently crashed at work. I was like but IT said it was a good thing because I needed to be upgraded to a faster computer and also XP..was running Windows 2000 prior to this.

So....now I'm up and running however I can't figure out how to hide the task bar at the bottom so when Bossman comes over he can't see I have Ja.com minimized [img]/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Can someone is this even a feature on XP? If so, how do I get there??

click pan start and go to settings.

Hide the Task Bar Except When You Want to See It

Right-click on the gray area of the task bar. A menu of choices will appear
Left-click on "Properties." A Dialog Box will appear
In the Dialog Box, left-click on "Auto hide" to place a check mark in the box next to it
Then left-click on the Apply button and on the OK button

Your task bar will be hidden until you move your mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen

Re-Display the Task Bar

To reverse the process, follow steps a. and b. above, then
Left-click on "Auto Hide" to remove the check mark
Then left-click on the Apply button and on the OK button

Hide the Task Bar Except on the Desktop

Right-click on the gray area of the task bar. A menu of choices will appear
Left click on "Properties." A Dialog Box will appear
In the Dialog Box, left-click on "Always on top" to remove the check mark in the box next to it
Then left-click on the Apply button and on the OK button
You will see your Task Bar only on the Desktop. When you are running a program or displaying a full-screen window, it will be hidden


Un-Hide the Task Bar

To reverse the process, follow steps a. and b. above, then
Left-click on "Always on top" to replace the check mark
Then left-click on the Apply button and on the OK button

Woieeee....thank you thank you...Everytime someone comes in here, they always seem to look pon mi computer...just today someone says, what kind of site is Jamaicans?

So I told them I was looking for flights to Jamaica for Christmas
