Biodiesel

Been trying to read more about biodiesel lately.

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that a larger percentage of vehicles in Jamaica are diesels.

What do y'all think about the viability of biodiesel in Jamaica? Seems to me there's a lot to like there.

I am not very optimistic that the Jamaican government would make it simple for anybody who wanted to invest time and money in bringing that technology to the island shore. These people are too wrapped up with big business that have indirect and direct ties to the big oil companies and the USA, and I believe would work counter productive to cause any such project to fail, and of course there is the direct corruption.

There were a couple of interesting threads on biodiesel last year in Business Connection and Jamaican News. With any luck they may still be active or at least archived.
