Another Skype question help!

I had Skype but I hardly ever used it, I uninstalled it but now every time I start my computer the stupid Skype boxes come up. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

I'm sick of seeing them pop up HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

Ok I went into the dark and mysterious realm of the world of my Control Panel. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70361-embarassed.gif[/img] Then all of a sudden I saw a pretty blue box that says Add and Remove Programs.

I was so sick of seeing Skype popping up every time I turned on my computer, I was getting a little excited then I clicked the remove program.
I saw the culprit Skype and I wanted it destroyed and fast, since I didn't have The Power Rangers to back me up I clicked the button and all kind of mysterious things started to happen.

This box came up and these little green lights were going *********************, must have been some kind of mind control thing cause I sat here watching those green lines going fast. Then another S.O.S message popped up saying push "Finish". I was a little shy and I pushed that botton. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]ray: Then it told me To restart my computer this program was now uninstalled.


Now this Skype thing is trying to get me to hit my computer, it keeps taunting me day after day [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] PLEASE make it go away, I beg of you. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]ray:

You should always use the actual program uninstall function under the Start > All programs > (in this case it would have been in the Skype folder), first before going to control panel. Go into START > RUN > msconfig > startup, and look for the culprit. Also look in Start > All programs > Startup folder.

If it is not in either place, you will have to search in the registry as a LAST resort.

I went into Start> Run> msconfig and there was the culprit! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] Thanks so much seriously J Kid I was about to just leave the darn computer on so I wouldn't have to see that skype box in my face. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]
