okay I want to remove some of the programs I have come up on start up. However, when I go to where I believe they are contained nuttin is there Tell me how to make this work please

I am running MS XP Professional and the directory pah I <span style="font-style: italic">*thought</span>* I am to use is:

C:\Documents and Settings\((Nylah))\Start Menu\Programs\Start up

Go to: Start &gt; Run &gt; type msconfig &gt; StartUp tab.

De-select the stuff yuh noh waa cum up.

Click Apply &gt; OK.

Das it.

Yuh can duh some odda stuff inna System services, but hold dat fi annada time, caa it ah likkle more indepth.

I think yuh jus type di same command in the command field, at di lower left-hand corner ha di screen.

only one box comes up when u hit the start icon and that is a search box - I already typed misconfig in there and ti brought back no results

I did the below and got an error message upon restart

<span style="font-style: italic">System configure utility is currently in diagnostic or selective start up mode causing this message to be displated and the utility to be run every time Windows starts. Choose normal start up mode on the General Tab to start windows normally and <span style="text-decoration: underline">undo</span> the changes you made using system utility.</span>

wha mek? why I need to undo?
