Laptop help

[Boopie2]

What does it mean when a blue screen appears and nothing else on a laptop? This is happening to my husband's Dell laptop. Time to pitch it or what?

When he pushes F12 or something all of these numbers show on the screen.

yup got that same screen on my laptop in 2006 and it has been dead ever since


it's buried in my parent's sunroom in Florida.

Sally if you had a trial copy of something like OFFICe on it this sort of disruption happens to force you to reload and lose the trial copy for good.

You may have to put in the d9sc you got or made when you got it.and then reload the software.

If it won't take the disc,remove are replace the little BIOS battery.

Then it will let you go in the BIOS,and after you reset the time and it will allow you to load the software.

That is one way, but I'm sure there is a few more ways.

Yuh are screwed!!!!!

Especially if it happens in di middle of some important work yuh was doing.

It tek some wuk but, it usually can be fixed. However di work yuh was doing in memory may bi gone fi good.

May cost more to fix than to get something new...hopefully you have everything backed up.

The funny thing is I went to show him something on it and blirppppp. Blue screen, then a little line on the side like it's an etch a sketch game.
