Thanks j-kid,I should take posession of my new toy tomorrow,a techie friend of mine is coming over to set it up and show me what it`s capable of doing,...I`m also told by my techie friend that the mac mini does everything the apple tv does,but even more,...it`s slightly a bit pricier though.

There arent many free options that I know of that will give me the same features as the apple TV on my television,...I am particularly interested in the youtube facility,the option of renting or buying films from itunes straight to my telly,and to watch films in high def,all of which I wouldnt be able to access free.

You know,that`s a question that I am not sure about,so far I havent synced it with the computer as yet,but I have noticed that the process isnt as simple as the instruction booklet suggest.
