Flash drive help please...

I went out and got a flash drive so I could move my pictures from my failing laptop before the tech guy comes.

I realize this must be simple stuff but now what do I do? I have the flash drive plugged in and my pictures open. I can't see what to do now!

Try to copy and paste the whole file into the drive.

Thank you so far DD. But I cannot see where the drive is! It doesn't show up in the bottom tray and anywhere else so my question is where do I find it?

There were some questions at the beginning about downloading a bunch of stuff online when I first plugged it in, but since mostly I just want to move pics from laptop to desk top I opted not to.

Was that a mistake? Do I need to download something?

I was afraid to since the machine is running on shaky ground. It seems to run fine at the moment though, just the hard drive error popping up occasionally telling me to back up my stuff.

You will find the drive on the same page where your dvd and Cd Writer are.

Rearly happens, but once in a blue moon you need to install the correct drivers for some flash drives for Windows to recognize the flash drive.

First, try inserting the drive into another of your USB ports on your computer, and make sure it is pushed all the way in.

I'm ready to tear out my hair! I started seeing this Roxio program but cannot get my pictures onto it. This is not going well at all...

Do not use theroxio program.

well I am putting pics on the roxio since that was the only thing I could find. Are you saying it will not work this way? I didn't open the roxio, but it opens itself when I plug the flash drive in.

The worst thing right now is wondering how I will get my quickbooks transferred. OMG I don't want to lose that~

I've been trying quite a few times! So...the pics are in the box, how do I get them onto the flash drive so I can go move them to my desktop?

That will be the next problem..figuring how to unload the flash drive. first things first though,lol.

You click on them to highlight them and then click either the arrow or click in the emty box on other side. It depend on the roxio an dhow it show up.

you can also use the 'help in th e roxio program too.

Nanook why don't you open two windows?
Got start click on my computer or computer and find your drive there click it and open it.
Open de nex window and go to your pics, and the folder your pics is in click pan it and drag it to the other window.
