Recently I was asked if I could receive a fax and I was wondering if people still use one...

LOL, well, up until recently, my mom did use one. Well, actually Winfax. The pc has been sitting on my table for months. I've converted her to PDFs and MS Word in the interim and she has quit asking about the pc. I'll probably setup another pc based unit for her when I get around to it.

Remember when fax modems were installed on every pc? Now you have to include it in the configuration...

In my line of work, there are things that are acceptable on a fax that are not acceptable in an email. HIPAA. The fax is still accepted as a confidential mode of communication. Email is not considered that safe.
