I reinstalled Windows more than once. The first time was with the new hard drive. The sound worked fine then after I put in the SoundBlaster driver but there were other drivers missing that I located on the resource CD from Dell. After that, something got messed up with the vgaoem and some other drivers and I couldn't fix it, so I formatted and combined some of the partitions into one drive, then reinstalled again. The hardware wizard did not come up either time.
Posters should go and read some of her post to understand the interaction that MUST take place between the helper and the victim...oops....I meant to say helpee.
