I can't post anything unless I disable norton. Anyone has advice how to get the norton workign with the new board. It worked fine with the old board.

Even if I add www.jamaicans.com to my allow list, Norton doesn't allow me to post anything on the board. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
I am sure there are a lot of bugs to be worked out. Any advice in the meantime is appreciated. I can't disable my security for the board. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] Please don't make me choooooooose. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] -

Try it if you have the invalid host error.

Problems solved, got rid of Norton. Subscription was up in a week anyway. Went with Zone Alarm 6.Comment

last week it blocked my msn. turns out the subsciption was up for some time. I got rid of it too.Comment

Ok if you got rid of your virus scanner go get AVG by grisoft.com (free for home users). I highly suggest any PC connected to the net have a virus scanner installed. ZoneAlarm is a firewall, not a virus scanner so go get avg installed

Zone alarm only used to provide firewall service, but they now also have an internet security suite, that includes virus scanner, spam blocker etc.

Yeah they have full products for about $60.00 but the 'Free' version is still a stand alone firewall. For those that want a more integerated solution you can give ZoneLabs a gander.

Symantec reported a backdoor virus that was running as a patch from grisoft's AVG on my laptop... I dont trust Grisoft either...Comment
