i never tried it...just assumed it would not work when they said it cost extra...after me do the math the cost savings was not so great compare to Verizon's cheapest plan..

I had both and had and still do Fax on my numbers and never paid or have any problem with FAX.

With Vonage, if it goes down , all calls are routed to my cell phone -- set up on the vonage features. Calls are not missed that way. I also had my fax connected as well. VZ charges for a separate line for a fax - ur statement confuses me?

if yu fax over your regular vonage line..den de dedicated fax line business is just marketing fe chroo..but not very clever..cause it was a one of the deciding factors in me going back to verizon..and they don't list on their feature set either

so me juss google the questions and the answer is a bit more complex..in general the regular Vonage line should work..but VOIP was not designed to support faxing so there may be equipment dependencies..more advance faxing features may not be supported...it's OK for occassional faxing..but

1. sound quality (but i think we discussed this in another thread. I have cable broadband)
2. having to keep the pc on all the time
3. customer service- i remember calling them and while they were very pleasant, it was like they were reading from a script and didn't actually know what they were talking about.
