Limestone?

So my sister calls from Jamaica last night. She mentioned that they were having much slower than usual Internet downloading. Opening emails are no problem. Opening content heavy websites, downloading, uploading, etc. were sluggish. She checked and questioned the usual suspects - no outstanding issues. She called her Internet provider - C&W I think. They tell her that customers in the area where she lives have that problem and that "it was the result of the high content of limestone in the area."

After mi dun mi tell har, "Dere's a bridge in New York meeda like sell yuh"

i experienced this in TB...rarely could i get a connection....and then it would drop...always said "limited connectivity".

the tech suport ppl down there usually very good..mi nuh think dem would yank her chain

are you confusing this with the internet provider? i saw lots of billboards for a company called LIME. I guess i assumed it was a communications company of some sort.
