so what mi had was to do was back up mi files and reformat di hard drive...clean as a whistle...tonx

I was reading through a white paper on the rogue antivirus ting, which is what you have. It has more than 500k variants. I knew there were different variants, but didn't realize it was that many! The last one I dealt with got loaded in safe mode too, and another variant I worked on prevented booting in safe mode.


Don't forget to load the windows updates now that you've reloaded. BTW, reloading, while drastic, is best practice since you don't have any idea what them did to the pc. I've experimented with a few ways of accessing the pc remotely and it's quite intriguing. And I'm not talking about the commercial remote control tools either.
