i tried the uninstall walk through dat i found in google but i need to be connected to the net in order to uninstall through Add/Remove aparantly. And i keep getting "Page cannot be displayed" whenever i try to go online.

can i just go in certain files and delete them or delete some lines?

Use Spybot SD and Ad-Aware, to try and remove it first. If that don't work then use the manual process:

Unregister the files:
regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\MSIETS\msiets.dll"
regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\MSIETS\mslink.dll"
You also want to unregister all the dll's in the folder:
c:\program files\common files\wintools\

Look for a directory/folder at this location:
c:\program files\common files\wintools\
There will be three main file all running in memory. You'll need to end process on each of them before you can delete the folder. Do a Ctrl+ALT+Del to end process.
The file names are
WSUP.exe
WToolsA.exe
Then delete them manually


To clean up, you can also open the registry (click 'Start', choose 'Run', enter 'regedit') and delete any of the subkeys 'MSIETS', 'MSIEIN', 'MSLINK', 'BTIEIN', 'BTLINK', 'Search Toolbar' and 'WinTools' in the Software subkey of both HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER. You can also delete the keys inside HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID with numbers {26E8361F-BCE7-4F75-A347-98C88B418322} and {87067F04-DE4C-4688-BC3C-4FCF39D609E7}. Inside HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PROTOCOLS, the Name-Space Handler
es\WToolsB.ResProtocol key can also go. Next, open Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserDat a in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software, and delete the 'AUI' and 'STO' subkeys, and the 'TUID' entry.

Finally you may want to delete the shortcuts the HuntBar/Side and TS variants add to the desktop, start menu and favourites menu, and reset your search and home pages back to normal (Tools->Internet Options->Programs->Reset Web Settings).

Having successfully done this you should be able to delete the entire 'Huntbar' folder.
