I am finally using OUTLOOK. not OE.
I am running Windows 98SE.
I use Verizon.net as my email client.
I have McAfee VirusScan online.
And at your recommendation I use adaware personal se.
No firewall. No active spyware that I am aware of.
I have my email set up for HTML.

I know who it's coming from and if she sends it to my yahoo account, there is no problem. We ran a test today where she sent the exact same email to both addresses. She is on Rogers.com in Canada.

Hmm I didnt get that email at hotmail yet. If ya get a min try to resend or you can use [email protected] (yet another public spam addy I keep lol)....its strange Hotmail didnt take the email from Verizon, hmmm.

Today is a better day, we finally booked our trip yesterday afternoon so I'm officially in countdown mode....although it starts at 89! Argh! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Again, sorry if I seemed grumpy above, life has been a zoo lately...anyway once I get a copy of that email I can probably figure it out based on the spec's you posted above (thank you!).

Ok the email never left my outbox. For somereason it just wouldn't go. Maybe because of the antivirus involvement?

Anyway, I'll copy the header and send it to you.
Thanks for all your help Reb. It's not something critical, I just wanted to be sure it wasn't a virus.

That header was a bit odd but nothing in it seems to be stripped out as a virus. From the looks of it, I'd say the email was improperly formatted by the sender and the attatchment was just a blank background image so that's safe too. It is also possible that the email was corrupted in transit. I run about a dozen checks and scans on my email server every time an email hits the server so its possible that the message was corrupted as it bounced between ISP's and email servers.

If the problem continues let me know and you can also ask the sender to send you a few plain text emails to test it.
