FIOS Update

after all that angst about moving to FIOS..I've had it for a couple of weeks now and I love it.. .I do miss NY1 and the Africa Channel...but I love the FIOS features and the much faster internet speed..Multi Room DVR is awesome


Verizon is really putting some effort into marketing this thing..me cyaan memba the last time some one installed not only the wiring but also set up everything on my laptop den siddung an tek time gu chroo the features with me one by one

now me juss have to drag these boxes back to TW /o\

seriously..my colleague who was busy telling me what are the chances of the internet <span style="font-weight: bold">and </span>power going at the same time..lost is power, internet last week...and back-up generator failed too..

I had to poke im a little bit

Your ONT has a battery backup so if you have phone service from Fios it will still work for 8 hrs.

We have power cuts all the while so we know how to just roll with it.

Even if you have solar panels, state reqts are such that the system cannot switch to solar power only if there is a power cut

Did yuh at least feed di man afta all ah dat?

Mi kho unnu yuh noh. Mi caa even get unnu fi pay unnu repair bill imma mi shap, or bake wi ah tank yuh cake!

JK..funny yu mention this..because he came just at that time when my cupboard was looking like mother hubbard's he was there all day an I was so ashamed I had no food to give him..i mean nada..and usually me have all kind of tings round the place him..i kept apologising and offering him glasses of apple juice I did not eat either..now that me I think about it I guess I could have ordered in a pizza


sadly im sey im was use to the bad treatment ..so I guess yu right people don't normally provide food..
