Is there a way

to run the tv box (be it cable, uverse or fios) box from a different room where the TV is located and if so , how would one do it?

Scenario

We have one likkle tv in the kitchen and de tv box just well big fi the space. Would like to hide the TV box and still use a remote to change the channels etc..

Mi ah guess yuh waa goh as cheap........ahmmm...economical as possible?

Well how bout ah remote extender?

Also, wha bout wireless video, and remote transmitters?

Mirroring: Hav yuh cable company get yuh another cable box at $5 extra per month.

Remote extender: Dem sell small transmitter whe yuh put near di cable box in di remote room, an a small receiver inna di room whe yuh waa use di remote from.

Wireless Transmitter: A remote wireless video transmitter whe yuh put near di cable box in di remote room whe hav ah remote extender built into it. Soh it serves two different function.

Anyway, mi ha question fi ask yuh. Dont FIOS hav setup whe yuh can watch di same program from any room, even after yuh pause ie? Why yuh caa use dis feature fi feed di signal into yuh kitchen (remote room)? Are you using ah RF or IR remote wid ie?

Using one of the video senders from eBay. It works. Occasionally there is a noise interference, but it works for the small tv in the kitchen.

Note that it uses the same frequency (2.4Ghz) as a wireless router, so there might be some issues if you have one. Mine is usually off in the mornings when I'm using the Tv.

There are video senders that use the AC line too.

Yes they have that but it is through their box

yep. it's old-fashioned technology but it WORKS.

back in the old days before satellite and DVR and a separate box in every room and alla that mess, i had regular ole cable TV, &amp; they offered only the one main box in the living room. During the installation, the cable guy brought something very similar (but older-style of course) to one of these; it was the standard (at that time) method of making it possible for me to watch tv in a de bedroom when the box was in the living room. worked like a charm. (altho at that time it only cost 10 bucks, hehe)

No I dont

We have 3 TVs in the house

1 a mi madda's (she have her own section)
1 in the kitchen
and 1 in the playroom/family room

They are all on different floors
