I was talking to my uncle last night, he mentioned his desired to purchase a reel to reel tape player. Side note, this uncle had his own set and was a weekend DJ here and there.

He said he still has his tapes from back in the day, and is going to find a refurbished reel to reel player to play the tapes. I laughed and reminded him that the he will probably be dissapointed at the playback quality. But he insisted that I will be the one that is surprised. He said he enjoys watching the reels spin as the music plays....it just does something for him.

I can't wait until he gets this set up. I just hope his old tapes don't crumble when he takes them out.

Tape has a better sound, so de studios who have de money will record all there stuff to tape and then &quot;bounce&quot; that to hard disc &quot;digital&quot; so they get that fuller sound.

The sound quality is like nothing else, but studios use 2&quot; wide tape which cost close to $300 a roll which lass bout an hour or so depending on de speed you run it at.
I have a few tapes, which I need to digitize still.

If your uncle can get dem to play advise him fi get his tapes digitize b4 dem disintegrate.
