A few weeks ago I sent my laptop out to be serviced by Dell....One of the issues was the memory card with a bunch of my pics was stuck in the slot...they did not send the card back...called and they are telling me that they don't return cards.....I am seething with rage

email the CEO and IF they know where your memory card is - you'll get it back - especially since the memory card being stuck was part of the problem

i have had luck - most companies know that if you write the ceo that you are raging and they have resolution specialists that have more discretion for corrective action than the customer service reps

not sure if you will get your pics back but i would be willing to bet you get a a new memory card

that is just ridiculous - why would they not return something that you paid for that was stuck in their computer - please

are you sure it's the same computer? or did they just port all your stuff to a new computer and your card is still stuck in the computer you mailed to them?

if they sent me back the same laptop why didnt they just send the card with it? i would understand if the card broke while they were trying to take it out but damn!

oooh yes i got a phone call on tuesday from a Bob with an indian accent

pretty much repeating their policy

I told him I do not care about their policy, I should have been told prior to shipping it to them...


he said if I had left instructions to return the card it would have been returned...

I said how the hell was I to know to leave instructions...kissteet...

I had Abi's bday pics and our Canada trip on it and I had not put them up yet...
