Google is still the best all though I find the instant search a little distracting at time. It can lead you to search for something else before you finish tying your terms.

Yahoo used to be my absolute favorite. After Google bought and dumped them, it's like they dragged the good code with them too. Yahoo is too slack on the search results now.

I hate to do it, but I put up with Google more often now if I want all the results. I didn't like it too much at first, but now it's even worse since it seems their results are returned not based on closest match but who paid. Still, I put up with it.

Anybody remember Alta Vista? That was my search engine! Now I don't even recognize it.

I'm sure some enterprising youth will come along and come up some new search algorithm and unseat Google. I'm looking forward to that day.

I forgot all about Hotbot and Excite lol. I used to love Webcrawler though. That was another good one.

Remember how search engine results used to be? It broke me from going to the library because all the info was right there. They might not have been the prettiest pages ever and could sometimes take a while to load, but once they came up, what I was looking for was right there. Now 7 times out of 10, the first page is split between Yahoo Answers, Ask.com, Wikipedia, or something they want you to buy. How did that happen?

I use all types of boolean operators and still get the same results.

MI nuh kno how much ppl kno dis but when yuh search if yuh waan search fi (an yuh cyan try dis tuh) Jamaican Dogs, if yuh put dat inna de search it will search everyting jamaican and everyting dogs unless yuh use quotes like so&gt;&gt;&gt; &quot;jamaican dogs&quot; then it will search fi dat alone.

But mi sure unno done know all dat ahreddy.
Mi love de google but de bess pawt is aftah yuh search yuh guh dung a de bottom and click pan &quot;Search Within Results&quot; and narrow it dung likkle more.
