Purchasing RAM

I have an older desktop at home. Keep it around as a back-up and use it lightly here and here.

I think it may be about 7 years old. It is an HP Media Center PC. I want to purchase some additional RAM, will anything on the shelf work with this older model computer? or do I have to purchase a memory stick that will work with older computers?

The easiest way to get the needed info Which includes They type of ram And maximum effective amount usable is to download the analyzer from www.belarc.com to the computer.

Once you download it Just install it And it will tell you So you want to know And much more useful into about hardware software security etc.

Dudd, I use this computer to pay bills. I shy away from downloading anything on that computer, especially something like that, that will be looking around they system.

Yes. I found decent prices at newegg. Around 80.00 for 2 separate sticks
