Sim Card?

I am going back again in a couple weeks and I was going to buy a prepaid sim card for my phone which allows free incoming calls from wherever, and bought a prepaid calling card that I gave the access number to all the people who will be calling me...However, the company I was going to buy the sim card is out of stock now. They were charging $39 with NO activation fee...Does anyone know what they run in jamaica and if I'd have to pay for activation and if they come with free incoming calls...The cheapest I could find them on the net was about $60.

Any suggestions?

make sure that your phone is unlocked
cost me approx. $30 for that service - in canada
sim card in black river was something like $500 J (don't recall for sure because it was so inexpensive)
and bonus the card had time on it.....

I suggest that you go to a Digicel store and buy their cheapest phone which will include a SIM card and about $500J credit. My friend bought one in April, and the phone was about $25US. I bought a phone a couple of years ago for under $20US, and it has been the best travel purchase I ever made. I don't have to worry about losing my "real" phone which is pretty expensive, I have a number to give out to people who need to keep in touch, and it's easy getting cards to call friends in the US while I'm abroad.

If I buy a phone down there, is there some kind of activation fee like places in the states try to charge? So, do you think I should buy a phone, and also a prepaid calling card here in the states so I can get calls for free...However, if I buy a phone with a sim already, do I get free incoming calls??? That is the most important?
Also, I've only been to JA about 3 times so should I NOT buy one at the airport? Should I wait to get till I get to town?
