okay i'm a geek but i'm a project manager - not too hands on these days

i have 2 computers - mine and the one from work [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]

got comcast installed and the work computer wouldn't work [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70456-eyebrows.gif[/img] and i can work from home every day [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

found out i needed to set up a router - i picked a wireless one - my computer has WiFi - work computer doesn't - didn't even know you could buy a new computer without it [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]

well i opened the box and had that sucker up and running in 15 minutes

i can walk around the house with my computer

work computer is tied down for now - gonna ask for a WiFi card [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]

and the folks at Best Buy wanted Geek Squad to come out for $159 including router but not a LinkSys router [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70400-talktohand.gif[/img]

i woulda been mad [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] when they hooked it up in 5 minutes and took my money

opening the box took longer than getting the router going

gonna check the security controls to make sure i don't have any "hanger on's"

That sounds sooo nice! I can't get wifi here, but I plan on going wireless someday not too far into the future!

can you get broadband? if you can get broadband you can get the router and turn your house into a hot spot

comcast "gave" me cable - on demand, phone, and internet for $99 per month for 1 year

i'm gonna have to call you so you can get yourself up and running and it's so nice to sit at my laptop in bed with no wire attached or anywhere else i might be in the house [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]
