I plan to give my Netbook to my niece and will be removing my files, etc from it. How do I go about setting it up for her WITHOUT having to reset it the factory settings. I would like to leave Office Suite on it as well as one other programme.

Re: Re-Setting Up a Computer
Here are my suggestions - though not a complete list:
1. Do search by date choosing files within dates defined by you.
2. Move those files to an external drive / usb drive. (Cut and paste)
3. Go to your Internet browsers. Choose Tools|Options in each browser, choose delete cookies, temporary files, etc.
4. Alternatively, go to www.aboutcookies.org, and learn how to delete cookies from all browsers.
5. Delete programs you have used that you don't want her to have, e.g. MSN messenger, iTunes, etc. Check out http://www.microsoft.com/athome/setup/cleansweep.aspx for some help.
Hope these tips help.

Start | Control Panel | User Accounts. Change it there.
