Water Damaged Cell Phone

Once the phone gets wet, is that it for the phone? Can it be repaired?

The white dot in the back turned red to indicate water damage.

so now wha de plan ins a say, u haffe pay like $50 bucks fe a replacement, (bet u a refurbish u a go get)

u know i did this, and after about 1wk, de phone come back, BUT

me did grab it up rite away, den me dis-assembly de parts, and never put it back togedder fe a bout a wk, den me see it a gwaan like it can work again,

but de next day me did a try fe it work, and de numbers dem did a get mix up.....so if maybe u wait a long time, it may come back,

Two weeks ago tomorrow I washed my phone in a shorts pocket. I googled "I washed my cell phone" and got some hilarious reading, BTW. Mine did not come back, it was fried. I think it matters if it was on or off at the time of the wetting too. Mine was on.

I was able to get a new phone for 50.00 but it wasn't as nice as the one I wrecked, but it's better than nothing!

Well, I guess it is because I almost NEVER put my phone in my pocket, but it was a mad cleaning frenzy to get ready for a 4 day blues festival, doin too much & not payin attention. Last thing I washed like that was my checkbook a few years ago now. What a mess that was to sort out!

I have to figure out how to do this.
After that put in on top of the fridge for a couple of days.
The heat will dry out what the hairdryer couldn't get to.
Do I need to buy any special tools? It's a razor phone.
