Logging in to Jamaicans.com

Can any one assist me?

I am able to log on to JA.com just fine from the office.

However, when I log on from home, as soon as I enter any menu item my status is back to being not logged in.

Why would this be? There is obviously a setting on my laptop that I need to change, but have no idea what this is...

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When I was away at University that used to happen to me.....and I know I was told to go into Tools, Internet Options and delete me cache (like the button that say temp files, cookies) click on OK and it had worked for me.

Anyway one of the more learned Tecky saavy persons will be along shortly to help you am sure.

If you're using the same laptop, sometimes the corporate IT folks setup a different policy for home use.

Check the box that says remember me when you log in. If you've done that, Delete the cookie for Jamaicans.com, clear the cache and try again. If it still act up, then you have some sort of cookie cleaner. I noticed this site likes Java Script turned on too. I have Java disabled for surfing. Sure it prevents some sites from displaying properly, but I can always decide to turn it on later. Chrome makes that quite easy to for each site.

There are a bunch of other settings that we can check, but start with above first and see how it goes. If the above is greek, post the operating system version and the IE version.

Thanks for your input LinSkinny. No I am using my own personal laptop at home.

I think I may have a cookie cleaner... Yep, Greek kicked in around <span style="font-style: italic">site liking Java Script</span>...

Will try and follow instructions from home later.

good luck with this YuhSiMi - i could not get on for a full year -- nothing and i mean <span style="font-style: italic">nothing</span> anyone suggested worked, including everything said here in this thread. it wadn't nuthin about cookies, cache, virus, malware, different browser - none of it.

X-man set up three new separate accounts for me, and worked with me behind the scenes via E-mail for MONTHS,
<span style="font-style: italic">(bless his heart)</span> - and every time, each new account would work ONE time on my very first log-in, then never again. nada. zip. zilch. negatory good buddy.

Until i got a new laptop with Windows 7 . Then all was well -

Thank you for all the tips, etc.

I have tried everything but to no avail.

Any commenting I want to do - which is usually very little - although I'd like to drop in the occasional when something sweet me - will have to be done from the office if I have time.

Try an upgraded version of the browser or download Chrome and see if it works.
