Ended up getting a Canon SD600

Small size, the features I needed and very easy to use. I love that it is almost as small as my cellphone and is very quick to take pics..

I saw a BMW2002 (it was a 1976 version) on the road yesterday and had no problem taking a quick snap to share with my sis [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

How is the clarity of the video? The max memory seems kinda low, 16MB, especially for video capture?

I am looking for one too..but if I want to escape the lag time between snapping and taking...then I should get a digital SLR ?

Some Digital SLRs are slower than their less appointed cousins.
But pound for pound they are a better buy.

Just for fun, yesterday I bought an ancient Kodak DC50 that thing sold for US$1000 when it first came out in 1996.

probably very late, but I bought a pentax optio wpi 6.0 megapixel...thing is waterproof, sand proof
has been dunked at the beach and survived [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]
bought it cos I've got kids too...
