UNIX

Is there anywhere online that I can get a free and reliable copy of UNIX? I have it @ work but they don't want u to be playin in the environment...I am reading up on UNIX (on my own since they only train u @ work for what they want u to do) but I want to test some of these commands...

Any suggestions? Reby? Morph? J-Kid? CEW? Xavier? whoever else? [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70367-help.gif[/img]

Also, I have an older PC that I don't use anymore...can that be outfitted to be my UNIX box? [img]/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70367-help.gif[/img]

Off the top of my head I'd suggest http://www.freebsd.org/ but I am not into UNIX all that much, any better suggestions?

Linux or a UNIX program to run on Windows? Ever heard of cygwin it's a bash shell unix program for windows.

Not a bad choice. I used a version of it some years ago and it was pretty good then.

AshamJ: You can use your old box for a Unix install. That's what they are best suited for.
