I concur with Kia. The new compamy lease their lines and is apparently piping you through a lower speed switcher and may not, even be able to deliver what they promised. Tell them, "if they cant deliver as promised in your mutual agreement, they give you no choice but to cancel their service and switch to their competitor".

A couple things you can check. First do a speed test (actually do several to test but use the different test links) at http://www.dslreports.com/stest to see what your actual line speed is reporting.

Next you can do what's called a ping to see latency at each hop as your computer sends a signal. The easiest way for the average end user is to use a web tool, so head over to http://www.dnsstuff.com./ and send a test ping to say google.com or msn.com and send several ping requests and look at the latency at each hop to see if its an issue with your router or ISP. Because of the way the net is wired test several different domain names to get an idea of what's going on.

The more info you can give your ISP the faster they can fix it.

You still have verizon. Only thorugh a reseller that actually splits the band and sell it multiple times. remember that they did not guarantee you 1.5Mb. That is th ecommon policy with these resellers.
I wonder what they are going to do when verizon rolls out their new cable technology (FOiS).

I am wary of these tests. The last time I did a test,they loaded up my ports with so many channels,that after I couldn't get evef 500 out of my 3Mb.
I had eto do a complete cleaning of my HD, to get back my regular speed.

okay now mi fraid [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70374-lipsrsealed.gif[/img]. They really get on my nerves man, cause it's just crazy. This ACN thing is something we signed up for. It's like a chain benefit thing where I sign up, and I sign other people up to use the services. I get a portion of the payments that the other people I've signed up to use the service make. But I'm seriously considering getting another line in the same location, only the latter be Verizon wid de DSL signal.

It's driving me crazy man, and it zaps my energy when mi haffi contend with it.

Sound like you have more problems than is presently presented. You seem to be in a pyramid scheme. where the benefit you get is really the 'kick back' you get from the other users.
It is unsustainable,because when those you signed up becomes dissatisfied,and call for refund. the company will just fold and disappear. then go to anothe location and use other names they have registered.
If youy want real service I suggest you get FOIP from verizon. It will be cheaper and still faster than DSL at it's lowest tier.

Well the company is international so mi nuh really tink dat a guh happen. Thanks tho for the info. I just might go back to Verizon cause mi kiaan badda sometime.

Can u imagine streaming a symphony that you have to do a report on an it stopped and u kiaan hear de final 3 minutes?? Crazy.
