LCD Monitor question

Noticed that some LCD computer monitors also state they can support TV. That being the case if I wanted to mount a LCD Monitor as a TV (size being the major reason) would it work just as well as a regular TV?

I guess so, but wouldn't it need to be connected to a computer?

I have a wide screen 19" flat screen monitor, I assume it is LCD...no TV on it though.

Kia, it all depends on the kind you get. Some panels only have analog input, some digital, some have both, some have HD support., some have built in tuners, some you need a tuner card via your PC or external tuner box. Depends pan how much money you waa spend, or if yuh get ah good deal pan ah good wan. Also the TFT viewing angle is very important.
