Not all browsers are created equally. The main problem I have with IE is its integeration into the OS. This doesnt mean other browsers don't have problems too though. Just this week it was announced that Firefox 2.0 has a bug in the master password and stored passwords that allow some sites to steal your passwords.

I don't belive that M$ creates the new viruses but they could do a better job patching known security holes. Currently there are netizens that alert M$ to these problems, and then M$ issues a patch to fix them. The problem here is that M$ doesnt fix all these bugs in a timely manner ...and it could be argued that they sometimes only patch the hole once its been exploited. The reason I say this is there have been a number of worms/virus that have exploited M$ OS by using exploits that were known and reported 6 months back. Its like they wait to patch the OS until somebody actually exploits the bug.

Anyway...I need to get back to work

It's worth getting to know in my opinion...a small learning curve but you can bring in all your IE bookmarks and such you know.
