The noise could be originating from two places:
1) The coolings fan.
2) The hard drive.
You need to identify which one it is. The main fan is in the back, and you can put your ears next to it to see if the sound gets louder when you listen. It could also be coming from the internal CPU cooling fan.
If it is coming from the hard drive or the inner fan, you will need to pull the side panel to listen near the hard drive.
