My fellow Boardites: I sent the following letter to the support ppl of my Vivicam2055:
Dear Support Team:
I am a Canadian citizen living in Ghana since 2002. Last December my
good friend David came from Ottawa to visit me. One of his
kind gifts to me was a brand new Vivicam5022 Serial# E2034Aoo355433.
I have taken quite a few photos (it has an SD Card) and now want to
download them onto my computer. When I read the manual and tried
doing that, I discovered that I need a 'removable installation disc'
because the Vivicam isn't on the list of cameras supported by my
system (I have WindowsXP.2 and Internet Explorer7 and lots of room on
my brand new Dell Desktop). I contacted David to see what had
happened to the disc or whether he had seen such a thing and he sent
me first an email saying he had never seen anything like that and then
the following email.(saying he had found the disc that had been damaged when he opened the package - MsP) I beg you to either send me a new disc or find a
way I can access the software that I need to get started. I am having
trouble accessing your website. It seems to stick at the '19 items to
download' stage. Please, can you help me?
Many thanks
(MsPeaches)
They sent me back a URL to the software I needed. The software said that I would need the latest version of AdobeFlashPlayer (10.3) and so after a lot of attempts and struggling I managed to install that one. I have gone back and tried to install the Vivicam5022 installation software but it keeps stopping and saying 'Installation Incomplete' etc.
Please, does anybody here have any ideas about what I can do from here?
Thanking you in advance.
MsPeaches
