iphone 4s and IOS5 debut

upgrade iphone 3GS (since contract up) to iphone 4 (or 4s) ?

always wanted an ipad especially when travelling to boring fencing tournaments- with iphone4 (or 4s) can tether where there is no wifi so ipad2 wifi only works.

like the idea and convenience of the iphone (calendar always synched, contacts always a touch away, the gps feature) so not ready to give up data plan

sounds like the 4S and ipad2

with iOS5 the cord has been cut.

Can sell laptop & existing 3GS use funds toward updated gadgets

Maybe negotiate down to a one year contract extension with the 3Gs and get the iPhone 5 next year.

Maybe get a samsung galaxy infuse. Much bigger screen than the iPhone but still very much a phone that can fit in your pocket. Kind of eliminates the need for having both a phone and a tablet.

I dont know how I feel about the Samsung yet Milo. My girlfriend has one and I think this is her 5th iteration (from Sprint not AT&T). They even sent her a repeater to place in her home so she could have a signal in the house

The contracts here seem to be about the phone & keeping you as a customer.

When next year is iphone5 coming out?

They seem to be released yearly, any time between June to October.
