Why dem nuh build computers with this?
Well mi know why already.

A computer with a virtual pc needs no anti-virus.
The computer I had built for the studio was built with a virtual pc. It is for going online and dealing with email. Even if the virtual pc gets a virus the minute it shutdown the virus is gone. You just need to remember to go online inside the virtual pc and not from the regular pc.
Just thought I'd post this cause I never heard of it until mi get one.

you can download Microsoft Virtual PC or XP mode, which allows virtual internet access that in essence doesn’t even exist on your hard drive, or hardware level at all. It is a virtual memory cache.

The Virtual Machine/Box has also been around on Linux for quite a while now.

You may have missed it but LinSkinny touched on some of its adifferent pplications here, a while back. Anyhow, thanks because this will be a good refresher for others who for got, or also misses the earlier mention!

One thing to remember when you setup the virtual machine, is to turn off sharing on the network.(depending on what I'm doing, sometimes the default shares are also off.) It is a bit of a pain with sharing off to transfer files between machines, but you can use any number of free file sharing websites to get something out of or into the virtual machine. Why turn off sharing? There are numerous malware and viruses that are network aware and some that recognize usb drives.

Currently I'm using a combination of Microsoft Virtual Machine, VMWare, and Virtual Box. The Virtual Box is the only free one that I'm aware of that will do 64bit Windows 7. The paid version of VMWare appears to allow it also, but dem sock you good with the license fees.

For normal use, I haven't seen any issues with Virtual Machines and it will keep your main computer free of the crap. There are a few minor quirks, but you get used to it quickly. Just remember a virtual machine is a pc inside your pc. It really work like just another pc. If anybody want help to set one up, lemme know. It's quite easy if you have the CDs that came with your pc. I haven't tried using Ghost to clone a virtual machine yet. when I get some time, I should test it.

Oh, all you mac users...yeah it available fi u too. But if you going try fool me and mek me tink you using a real PC, some of us know how to find out.
