Worked on another pc today with it. The new variant was interesting. Normally taking out the hard drive and scanning it via a USB connector will clear it up. Not this time. Didn't even find it. Tried the scan again. Nothing. So I went digging. Found an executable called ISV.exe and renamed it in the command prompt, then scanned again. Malwarebytes found it this time. Two files. After clean up, had to edit the registry so I could run exe files again. Total time about 5 hours if you include the scan time. So be nice to people who know how to fix computers. I wish it was a snap of a finger and get it to work. I sure wish I could get a cut of the millions these scammers are making.
