Playing with a preview in a virtual machine. Installation is similar to previous versions. Once loaded, the interface is vastly different as usual. The desktop is still there, but the main page after boot positions everything you would normally watch the morning news to get. (ie-News, weather, etc.) Email is included on that page too. It looks like tiles. Tablets or touch screen devices will benefit from the layout. IE10 is similar to IE9. There are some new quirks (or features) that I haven't figured out yet. Like how to view the many pages that it opens. I can't figure out how to shutdown the system, lol. Sending a shutdown via the virtual machine works, but I can't find the option anywhere on the desktop or main page. Control Panel is there in classic mode, but it looks very different if you don't switch it. They want an email address to tie in (or Sync) everything. I guess it would be similar to the new cloud computing buzz.
The machine I'm running it on is a Win7 machine with 2.8Ghz, 8Gb RAM. The virtual machine is allocated 4Gb RAM and it seems to work ok, although with all the addons, I'd say 8Gb RAM will be a better choice for it. Mo' money!
