Dr.Dudd and JKid... I finally found where my music files are located after I copied from laptop to phone connection via usb.

Only problem, I still do not know how to get the pictures that are on the memory card to display on the android phone. Please note that I'm referring to pictures that I copied from old samsung to new samsung android (sim card).

The android phone, personally, I find it to be a big ole waste of time and money and have too many steps to get to a feature. Example, this drag out thingy to accept a call. Give me the little green button to press for talking. Much ado about nothing.... I'd never recommend this phone to anyone.

Sandi sorry you are having a hard time with teh phone.. If it is still less than 30 days I think AT&amp;T will let u return the phone and you can get another one that will better suit your needs ....

Sandi is a simple swipe to accept the call man 1 green button to swipe ... it not that bad...

You can set up your android phone to answer calls by pressing a green button instead of having to swipe. Not sure why it should be a cause for not recommending the phone.

Milo and Twiney, how do I set up the android phone to accept call on press of green button instead of having to swipe the Accept for the call to be answered?

Milo, I'm the person who do not like to go through an extra step to get to where I need to be. That's the problem I have with the android phone..taking me through an extra step which I do not like. Example, in the text message feature, I am yet to figure out how to delete a draft message.. I do not see where it stores draft messages. Yes, I can see and delete incoming/outgoing messages but draft messages... I am yet to figure out how to delete those. Why didn't they just have a simple... Inbox, Outbox, Sent, Draft box. I like things that way... Guess the android phone is not for me, Milo.

(((SandiF))) I understand what you are saying. We all have our preferences. Perhaps you are right, maybe Android is not for you.

As far as the green button goes it is available on a number of free apps you can download from the Android Market. Easy Call or Tiny Call are two such apps.

When your phone rings you will see a screen like below...



As far as deleting your draft text messages goes I'm not sure what you mean. On my phone I see my list of message threads and if one is a message that is in the draft folder it indicates it by having an icon appear beside it. I simply go to my options and press the little garbage can icon and then check off the box beside the message and press delete. But even at that, if you are having issues, try going to the Android market and search for one of the many messaging apps that are available. One thing I have learned about the Android phones are that if you do not like the way they function a certain way, someone else has probably felt the same way and has developed an app too perform that function in a way that will work better for them.

Lot's of choices out thee to customize your own phone the way you want it to run but again, I hear what you are saying, not everyone is into taking those extra steps.

Sandi go into the settings select call settings, all calls, answering calls, select answeing mode and then you can select accept incoming calls by pressing the home key.

i have had the galaxy, and it baddd like yauze,

once in a while, it we get stuck, and i tink is because of the case, but all u need to do is turn it off and turn it back on, get the plastic case, and not the harder ones and u should be good to goooooo

no worry, u soon get use to it....

for drafts, u go int eh mesage and back out the letters/words you already typed, and delte them, this will delete the message, this smart phone now knows that you are not sending it and will now delete it if nothing is in the typed box

Today mi did a plan fi tek back the Galaxy S2 android but after getting your help and figuring out a few things on my own... I'm on my way to android-dom. lol! I can now answer the phone on tap green button (no swiping which my finger was hating), got the free mapmyrun app on the phone and phone now setup with my favourite music... I'm getting to the like stage for this new phone.

i've been loving my new Samsung GS2 (or whatever it name) android phone, up until a few minutes ago.... Mi see this airplane icon at the top panel of the screen, near to the battery meter. What is that for? The phone inna airplane mode? How would it even get inna airplane mode...? Di whole time it siddung pon di kitchen counter.

Edited to add: Something strange must be going on cause even the house phone nah work. It dey pon dis &quot;Searching&quot; thing and no dial tone. The android wireless phone dey pon airplane mode. Wondering if the piece a lightening and thunder going on outside could be a reason....

Update: lol! the house phone power cord was undone...hence no dial tone. :dwll: I found how to take the mobile phone off airplane mode. I must've pressed wrong button earlier prior to placing it on the counter. Mi good as gold now.

</div></div> The airplane mode cut off 3 and 4G .So no phone billing, but you can get wifi for the web snd if you have skype you can still make calls through Viop. Thst mea you csn still use your house ip connection and reduce your data charges. You csn aldo accidentally put it on airplane mode when you selecting your Wifi.

OMG -- I never knew there was a conversation going on about the frustration with the new technology on these phones

I upgraded Saturday and vut a long story short- mi backslide all weekend an was cussing some breeda curse words weh noh invent yet. It was frustrating learning to set up the phone. anyway, it's two days in and I am still learning.

These are the devices I now have:

Ditto!! Ditto and aneda Ditto!! I t should not take soooo many steps to dial or ansa a call. I worry if there is an emergency how di fawt mi ago dial 911 fast enough. Noh man. Dem need fi wheel an come again.

From what I am seeing these &quot;smart phones&quot; all about APPS ..come in like the basic function of making calls and receiving calls was an after thought And di phone dem fulla testosterone ... if yuh know what a mean.
