I dont know how to text from my landline phone but could see where i had a keyboard to manage it better..

I tink it is similar to texting over di internet for free, which has been around for years.

The sign up had some message about what kind of home phone device to buy. Me nevah really pay dat much mind doah. The system does allow me to send text messages directly from the comcast web interface.

My landline shows up as the 'from' number and the cell user can reply to the message. I retrieved the message through the web interface. Not sure if my current home phone can show messages on the CID screen or what.

Interesting concept though.

Yeah, that's what I kind of think too. But I didn't get big ugly e-mail address listed at the beginning of the text message.
