record a small section of muisic from electronic file ???

say from a MP3 or WAV file ?

My daughter is doing a presentation and wanted a small audio clip from a couple songs.. I resorted to playing the song and recording it on the voice recorder of my phone.. There must be a better method...

You can also edit audio clips using Windows Movie Maker which comes on most PCs, just click on your start button and type in "Windows Movie Maker" in the search bar.

You can also do it using iTunes if you already have that loaded on your computer.
