Nissan Altimas

Husband took me to a Nissan dealership where his friend is the manager and was trying to convince me to get a Altima. Something about them I just don't like so I didn't want to test drive it and I could have cared less when he said he would take off $4,000 dollars just because he's my husband's friend.

" I think I was embarrassing my husband, I didn't bite." I was talking to my mechanic friend today and he said " Whatever you do don't buy a Altima, my brother sells them and they are having problems with something in the electrical system and recalls. He also says if you don't purchase the extended warranty you'll be screwed!"

I have an Altima and I love it!! As with any car, you can have computer and electrical problems.

They are very good cars....never had a problem with my car yet.

I was talking with some friends yesterday about getting a newer version....

I have enjoyed the Maxima. If I didn't have to take kids around in my car I would get this one.

You know you can purchase a BMW and a mechanic would tell you not to be buy one because blah, blah and another will tell you no problem.........Altima's are good cars. I have heard very, very few complaints about them........then again it boils down to your preference.

Excuse me but he's more than just a mechanic he's a good friend. I tend to gather important information and listen to wise folks. Do you think a dealer will be so up front? If you have inside info on a product that have problems why the heck should I run out and purchase one?

Also someone who works in the car parts department can tell you exactly what not to buy just because of expensive parts to replace a vehicle helps too.

My best friend has this Nissan it's nice in the spring and summer months but she scared to drive it in the snow. She also takes care of kids, but she trades cars with her grandson or daughter.

I&quot;m sure there's a hefty price for insurance on this because it's considered a sports car.
