yup, and I even got FAR better tires than the ones I was bemoaning the cost of
this is my first time having real winter tires and wow what a difference on the road

Vannie, this is the first time in all my driving that I have winter tires...and I have been driving since I was 16.
I never thought they would be necessary but a certain somebody insisted I get them. Where I live...well it is no longer back country cause now it is being developed...but before it was scary icy country roads with no shoulders made me afraid to drive if it snowed too hard.
it is a totally different experience. You will be happy you did it.Comment

I just purchased four tires, I was thinking of getting winter tires but I live in a city and work is only a five minute drive. If it's icy or a blizzard I stay home so I just installed all seasons this time around.
But I have to admit I would feel safer running on winter tires.

cause i live on the edge of the city, i jump on the freeway to get to other corners of the city. And when u see all the ppl in the ditches and the horrific accidents on a blizzard day, it scares the bejesuss out of you
at least we are getting proper roads in my suburb now but there are still enough country/back roads I need to travel on to make the winter tires more than worthwhile.Comment
