solution: fuse was blowing because wires were twisted in the harness in the trunk

how did they find it? I mentioned there was a leak in the antenna that they fixed a year ago and could it have corroded any wires. The tech checks the back of the vehicle and blows the fuse. If the fuse covers the interior lights, it would beg to question the first time around he should have looked at <span style="font-weight: bold">all </span> interior lights? Fortunately they did not charge me labour for the second go round.

He is lying. 'twisted' wires would not result in short circuit. and teh fuse was blowing due to short circuit.
irrespective of how twisted wires have become it will not cause short circuit unless, the wires came int contact, due to <span style="font-weight: bold"> a breakdown in the insulation of the wires</span>. So the wires was some how chafed and came into contact with some metallic part of the vehicle, which resulted in short circuit. Their fault some how. Due probably to not securing the wire loom to the body of the vehicle and result in rubbing against the body surface,.
this would result in the stripping of the insulation and contact with body panel,and eventual short circuit. Anyway. it was solved.
As usual it is simple and caused by negligence. technicians tend not to respect the need to properly place wire looms in their harnesses. My bad I probably did not explain what the tech said correctly..

Here is what is written
Tech found fuse 11 blown for interior lights and navi screen display. Tech reinspected all door switches, overhead lights and courtesy lights and found tailgate light inop.

Tech removed tailgate panel and inspected harness and connections and found left side harness white &amp; blue wire &amp; black wire severed causing fuew to blow. Tech repaired harness and replace fuse again. Tailgate light operating at this time and fuse did not blow agaib.
