When was the last time you rode? What size was the engine?

Before I got my Honda Shadow VT750 I was on a Yamaha250 motorcycle which sits high... I could not get my feet on the ground. The good thing it tamed me to balance good, especially for short stops and stops on an incline. I love the Honda Shadow... height is right for a short woman like myself... looks sexy (my husband would be rolling his eyes); it has a drag cut mold and is chain drive. It is a bigger bike and surprisingly I thought I'd feel its weight but it feels like a weather when riding it.

Do you like super speed bikes (Honda CBR Kawasaki Ninja) or cruisers Jazz?

Ducati's have a distinctive visual appeal and they are good super sports bikes. So why a Ducati?

I dont know a thing about bikes other than looking on a sweet body man on one....have a certain appeal....or being a passenger on the back of one and holding on while we roaring off somewhere.

truthfully SandiF - it has been quite a while since I've been on one - l haven't had one since I left Jamdung... and that was 15 years ago... so mi rusty BAD!

I have just been beefing up on the latest models etc. and I've been trying to mentally prepare hubby for the past 3 years or so for the fact that i'm going to get one - he is DEAD SET against it... him say him gwine up the insurance policy weh we have

I like speed bikes SandiF... can;t get into the cruiser mind set - although I know for up this side a cruiser might be more practical.

The Honda Shadow is a beautiful bike... I could definitely see it changing the way I feel about cruisers and it looks nice for a shorty such as me... I probably will need your advice as I get closer to purchase date...

Just checking out specs etc. and comparing...

Yes been riding since I was 12 YO - 5 of my 7 brothers had bikes so it was a natural thing for me to hop on as soon as I could lean the bike far enough to let my legs touch the ground...

Then I dated a guy who used to race bikes so we used to ride all bout the island together

As I said though - I haven't been on one in about 15 years but the love for them has never left me.

I know SandiF tek her biking seriously thats why Iam looking for some guidance from her (hubby has washed his hands completely of the matter)

Sandi - Mi always like the Italian Bikes... visually I find them more appealing than the Ninja's and Kawasaki's etc... they had a rep one time for not being reliable but things have come a long way since then... they have fantastic suspensions and give a very comfortable ride... lot of upgraded safety features...

I am eyeing the Multistrada 1200 S Touring...

Stormmey - as a mother now I can relate to what she felt LOL

SandiF - so I have been talking to some friends of mine that ride and based on what you have said and they have advised - I think I should probably go for a cruiser - based on where I'll be riding and road conditions etc.
One of them told me that no matter how easy I go the Ducati will always lift up when fire it... they refer to those bikes as crotch rockets

I still prefer that type of bike but common sense has to prevail and I'm not 25 anymore *sigh*

So I have some more research to do. Couple of them have Harley's and one has the Honda...
