Only in the last few years have I ever been down to just one car, and I am only one person! I cannot be stuck without a vehicle though, so sometimes I get nervous about it all and want to buy an older little truck or something as a back up... it is a looooong cold walk to the highway (1 mile) and an even longer (15 miles) to a bus line. You just can't carry 100 lbs of dog food on a bus!

Mostly, I had a car and a truck, so I could haul things. Or, a regular car and a sportie model. Now it is car and 2 scooters, which obviously wouldn't be much help today. sigh, I would like a small truck for hauling.

With a family and 2 adults, I say NO. You will hate it.

In a couple of years you'll come and ask us about buying the <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">third</span></span> car for BoyKia.

I'm with you Nanook - I have a truck for the winter and hauling stuff around and then I have something a little sportier for the nice summer months... and thats just me - hubby have im own transport - I cannot even conceive having just one car to share between us both - dat soun like war!!

When Dan's father and I just got together he did not have a car and we used to share my likkle cyar and I HATED It!!!!! him used to move mi seat from the position that I like it (this was the days of manual adjustment - no seat memory then) and leave tissues and stufff laying around in there which used to Pee mi off to no end!!!

No sah - my car is like my little haven and I DON'T like to share it...

Kia nuh lissen to mi yaah - I respect you guys for being so eco friendly and making sacrifices to support your beliefs... trust me your respect is HIGH if you can make that work - just would not work for me

Well we have one more month of the two car family.

Just got all bicycles in the house tuned up fi wheels & tings

Then saw this electrical assist for bicycles it may help as u go up hills.. kinda cool
