I'm freekin stuck!



Best I can figure is just let it sit because I'm sure not about to pay holiday tow charges. I thought about finding some boards & jack it up enough to put more board, but maybe I'll do that tomorrow and let the sunshine dry up some of the puddle, though the mud won't get much better any time soon. Red clay is the pits.

That is the plan so far in case any of you have a better idea, please chime in if you do!

Funny you should mention that Milo. Last year it rained so much it never once dried up. I could only get my scooter out of here one time and while I was gone it rained and I ended up dumping the bike trying to get in.

The car is out! A friend stopped by last night with her Blazer and was able to pull it out, yay!

Next stop, car wash. The sign on the wall says "no muddy vehicles". Oh well, what can they do, take away my birthday?

That mi say too, JKid. I will go tomorrow and wash it and cry foul if I get told to leave. Seeing as I live on a dirt road, I spend a lot of $$ at that car wash!

Weeks later the driveway is pretty much the same for the never ending rains. I'm getting in and out but occasionally have to park towards the end and walk.

No SUV for me Kia, I think about it but they are so not me. What I really need is to rob a bank or something and get some gravel put down. The plows just scrape it off to the side come winter though, so it is a hard money to spend.

Do like we do in Jamaica and put down 2 concrete strips - just big enough for the tires to drive on.

Yes Jazz, now you are reading my mind! I can not afford to fix the damn driveway the right way, it is a couple of city blocks long so we're talking big bucks.

So, I have been thinking I will do the worst spot with concrete bags and let them harden over basalt rock.. The plow will prolly rip them up this winter but at least I will be able to get my scooter up the driveway this summer!

There are two seriously deep ruts on one side from the dual tires of the propane truck , and I am leveling them off by driving on the edge of them on the way in and out and pushing them back in. I can also take my lawn tractor and cart and go out and scrape a whole lot of the driveway rock back onto the driveway that the plow driver scraped to the side. It's a mess, I only need to make it last a few more years at the most and then I am outa here.
