can i download from my i tunes library to any other mp3 player than my I pod??
--i am realtivly new at this stuff. The only input I've had is that it is a struggle at the very least. any suggestions?? [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/music.gif[/img]

The short answer for protected songs, is NO. For unprotected songs, the answer, is yes.

As far as the stuff you bought off iTunes, from a technical standpoint, Apple uses their own Digital Rights Management (not to mention format) that isn’t exactly compatible with other systems. There are some ways that people circumvent the DRM, but even though you paid for the song you can’t do that legally, and I can’t discuss that aspect here. You’ll have to Google for more info. on that aspect. That is one of the main reason that I decided to go with Creative Vision M: instead of the iPOD or Zune. The creative is far superior to the iPod and a lot more flexible to the needs of the customer, not to mention the obvious fact that Apple copied the patented menu system that Creative invented.

thanks for the reply,kid. the pod AND 'puter were a gift. I f I had had to figure out all this stuff on my own it probably never would have gotten done. I have been enjoying it thoroughly, but understand some of the limitations( i- village of the dammed). I was hoping I could share some of the good stuff I have found w/ less 'spensive equipment. Will have to go on my list of 'to be figured out".
