what's a good one?

I want to take a dvd edit it like maybe clip the front and the end, and then add chapters and titles at certain points through the video.

This is the brand I use
DVD Editing

They have some updated products now it looks like. I purchased mine about four years ago so it is much more basic than the stuff they have now. I'm sure a lot of the software is pretty much the same though, no matter which brand you buy. Most of the items seem to be in the $30 US bracket.

can this program upload de video straight from the DVD?
I was trying and couldn't get it to do it.

Yes I can do it on my older software.

I can load a DVD with my raw video footage in my computer then launch the program. I select "Copy DVD" and then I select "copy from" and then choose my DVD drive. Then I select "write to" and then I select a folder on my hard drive.

Once I have the raw video footage file loaded on my computer I am able to edit it as little or as much as I want then import it back into the NeoDVD program and clip it, add chapters, add type, and backgrounds to the menus etc... and create a DVD.


The more I think about it I think this is probably the product that would best suit your needs.

DVD capture, copy and authoring.

This will enable you to do what it sounds like you want to do.

"D", to edit the DVD frames, any editing software must first convert to MPEG2 or AVI format. However, you may not see the process because it may be going on in the background. Pretty much most of the good burning programs usually come with some basic edit functions. If you want to get serious, then let me know and I can recommend a couple.

mi have a copy of adobe premier but mi cyaan figgah it out as of yet.

Yeah I have played around with Premier, but ran into an issue where the sound and picture was out of sync with each other

I remember going to Chapters at the time and purchasing the big Adobe Premier 6.0 Bible. It has paid for itself many times over.

Premier has been very reliable for me. Hope I didn't just jinx myself. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img]
