Usain Bolt has sparked fears over his fitness ahead of London 2012 by pulling out of the Monaco Diamond League meeting.

Bolt was twice beaten by compatriot Yohan Blake at the recent Jamaican Trials, creating doubts over his form heading into the Olympics. Pictures of the world 100m and 200m record holder lying on the track wincing in pain due to cramp hardly suggested he was entering his peak in time for the summer Games.

Those fears will only grow further after Thursday's news that Bolt will not compete in Monaco. A minor injury will keep him from racing, although it is not expected to sideline him from London 2012.

&quot;Arising from Usain's participation at the national trials in Kingston last weekend where he had a slight problem ... I've had to withdraw him from the Diamond League meeting in Monaco on July 20 to give him sufficient time for treatment and time to train and prepare for the Olympics in London,&quot; coach Glen Mills said in a statement.

No further explanation was given as to the nature of Bolt's &quot;problem&quot;, but the globally recognised sprinter did assure fans he does intend to defend his Olympic titles over the coming weeks.

injuries or no injuries, after qualifying, I would have pulled out of all races prior to the London games. I didn't even know he was scheduled for any thing after the qualifiers.

yeah Diamond league is not that important right now.

Jamaicans among conspiracy theorists


Jamaicans are among the world's greatest conspiracy theorists. Something happens - good or bad - and there has to be something sinister behind it.

That became ever increasingly obvious this past weekend during the SVL National Championships to select Jamaica's team to the 30th Olympiad just about three weeks away.

It is now apparent that Bolt came into the trials less than 100 per cent but he wasn't far from it. We all now know that was not good enough to stop Yohan 'The Beast' Blake, who handed Bolt not just one but back-to-back losses for the first time in years. Blake upended Bolt in both the finals of te 100 and 200 metres. The last time I remember Bolt losing a 200-metres sprint was back in 2007 at the World Championships in Osaka, Japan.

After the 100-metre race on Friday night, the buzz started. Bolt lost because he was with a white girl; no doubt they were referring to his relationship with Slovakian fashion designer Lubica Slovak. I mean, how in God's name does this hard-working woman whose only major crime is having a relationship with the world's fastest man, cause him to lose a race? I remember when the story was first unfortunately leaked to the public, how a middle-aged woman told me that Lubica only wanted Bolt's money, and that all that she was going to do is 'salt' him up. Never did it occur to the critics that this girl has her own money and probably just wanted to have a nice quiet relationship with Bolt, or that black women are gold diggers too. Now weeks after the couple split, she was still being blamed for the loss. Poor woman; she just can't win.

By Saturday morning, the real conspiracy theories were beginning to surface. Bolt's loss was part of a ploy to deflect attention from himself to Yohan Blake so that he (Bolt) can go into London and shock the world.

Then all of a sudden it was Glen Mills' fault as he wants Blake to win in London so he can prove that he can develop multiple Olympic champions. By the time Saturday evening rolled around, blame had shifted back to Bolt and his partying. &quot;Bwoy, the man a party too much,&quot; one man said to me at the stadium. &quot;Him need fi go a him bed a night-time.&quot;

What people conveniently forget is that when Bolt broke the world record in Beijing and again in Berlin, he was always out partying and having a good time. He is young and loves to dance so parties are going to be a place where he wants to be. But because he was running super fast times and everything, the parties were no problem. Now, all of a sudden they are.

Of course, there was some sensible speculation but that was rare. We would rather Bolt's loss of form to be due to some dramatic circumstance spurred by anancyism. Bolt's shocking losses couldn't just be because he was not well, ran his best but lost to a young champion. It had to be something sinister that stopped him, something evil that is out to get us all.

Kim Collins continues his blistering pre-olympic form with yet another impressive performance in France. Following on the heels of his Personal Best Wind Aided performance in Nancy, France, Kim blazed to a first place 10.11 seconds at the Meeting Pro Athlé Tour in France in Sotteville, France. Collins finished way ahead of Trinidadian Marc Burns and American Caliseo Newman.

Kim’s next stop will be Crystal Palace in London this Friday and Saturday.<span style="font-weight: bold"> “10.11, was happy to win this one in sottville tonight.
