Mi test drive 4 cars today

1. Mazda3 2012

2. Kia Forte 2013

3. Chevrolet Cruze 2012

4. Toyota Corolla 2012

Basically economy cars. Surprised that I liked the Cruze best, but it was the priciest, about $26.5K. And for some reason, I thought the guy said he could drop the price by removing either bluetooth or the remote unlocking - both were standard in the other cars and still they were cheaper.

i want to research a bit more, anyone has any recommendations for reliable sites to review and compare cars?

The Cruz comes in 4 flavours, my mom just bought the RS of course shi get a gm discount
I drove it to toronto an back one weekend, and I was totally impressed.
It's 4 banger with turbo and I can't believe how much power it has.
I'm not into de "japscrap" suh yuh kno weh mi tan ahreddy, but if it was gyabigde I would say so. There is a cruz dem sell fi roun 16K and remember cyaar salesman always a try get every likkle bit outta yuh. Dem nah tell yuh seh dem have certain tings, and don't boddah wid de under coating, scotchguard or dis new ting dem a use fi put ova de front a de cyaar fi guard from stone chips etc. Say no to all the above.

Suggest you stick with the imports made in the US. Based on past history with domestic brands, the Cruze will most likely nickle and dime you to death and the few I've driven as rentals seem underpowered to me, while the rest have adequate power. I've driven all of them as rentals. Favorite overall for me is the Forte, but the Mazda 3 handles the best out of all of them. Have fun deciding.

thanks, emparah. is the Cruze LT Turbo mi drive. The sound system was amazing, in addition to the smooth drive.

i thought they would be on sale to clear out for the incoming year's model, but no.

just seeing this linskin. what did you like about the Forte? that was my second choice. my main problem with it was the noisiness when accelerating. the cruze is a lot quieter. the Forte has a better service package, i think.

Mi two co-workers just got new cars. one was a Cruze. Shi had it for a few days and it was recalled. They wanted to cut a hole in the protective cover underneath the oil pan cause it could cause a fire. She asked the dealer if that was wise because the designers of the car had that covering there for a reason.

The other co-worker bought a brand new Mazda 3. I like both cars but if I had my choice i would pick the Mazda 3.

Neva like de Kia Forte atal. I found it was too noisy and the gear shifts weren't smooth. Plus, for a mid-sized car, it was awfully cramped.

Settled on a Nissan Sentra.

take a look at the mazda Cx-5 great fuel economy. and i thin kits in the similar price range

The Forte had more features standard than the rest of them and Iiked the overall feel of the car. The bluetooth also seemed to work fine and was easy to program. Plus the Sat radio. The noise to me didn't make a difference. Everyone of them makes noise when I floor it, lol. Look at the Hyundai Accent and Alantra too.

The first time I drove the Cruze was a right hand drive model and I liked it, but I dunno if they had a different engine in that country. I've been in a few here in the US and it just did not seem the same.

Edit: I looked at the CX5, but have not yet driven it. Seems to be getting good reviews, but 3000+ pounds with a 2.4 litre 4, seems like it would be a little underpowered. One issue I have with a lot of Mazda's and Honda's is the engine speed on the highway. Many of them are running over 3000 rpms. Doing 80mph and the engine is screaming close to 4k.

That Kia Forte 2013 looks real nice. I have not experience with any of these cars but everyone I know who has been buying is impressed with Ford.
